Lia Leendertz is an award-winning garden writer who appears regularly in The Guardian and The Telegraph and in gardening magazines. After studying at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh, Lia went into garden journalism and worked for several years on gardening magazines before turning her hand to freelance writing. She now lives in Bristol with her husband, two children, and two house rabbits, and enjoys growing her own food in a back garden in among the flowers, as well as on her allotment.
She occasionally throws supper clubs based on her produce and her allotment recipes appear regularly in Simple Things magazine. She has written around ten gardening books and a cookery book Petal, Leaf, Seed: Cooking with the garden’s treasures. She recently published The Almanac: A seasonal Guide to 2018 and is a regular guest on Cerys Matthews Sunday morning show on BBC Radio 6.
