Amanda Jennings is a bestselling novelist. Her debut, Sworn Secret, topped the Amazon chart in multiple countries and her second novel, The Judas Scar, has been optioned for film development. In Her Wake garnered rave reviews from the literary community, being described as 'mesmerising', 'devastating and disturbing', 'moving, perceptive and beautifully written'. Her latest book The Cliff House is described as 'a haunting story with the moral ambiguity of du Maurier'.
Amanda’s writing is both lyrical and haunting and yet, at the same time, gripping and compelling. She is fascinated by family – family bonds, family relationships and family dysfunctions – and has an acute understanding of what makes people tick.
Prior to writing, Amanda studied History of Art at Cambridge, and subsequently worked for the BBC developing landmark documentary series marrying Arts and Sciences.
She lives in Henley with her husband, three daughters and a menagerie of animals.
