Anna Metcalfe was born in Germany in 1987 before growing up in Fife, and later, Lincolnshire. She has a creative writing MA from UEA, and was one of the finalists of the Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award 2014, alongside Pulitzer Prize-winning authors Elizabeth Strout and Adam Johnson.
She lives in Norwich where she teaches Creative Writing at UEA.
Her debut collection, Blind Water Pass, was published in 2016, and she is currently working on a novel and a series of prose poems.
