Danielle McLaughlin is a short story writer. Her stories have appeared in The New Yorker, The Irish Times, The Stinging Fly and The Penny Dreadful as well as in various anthologies including the Bristol Prize Anthology. She has won numerous awards, including the William Trevor / Elizabeth Bowen Short Story Competition and The Merriman Short Story Competition. Her debut collection, Dinosaurs on Other Planets, was published in 2015 to rave reviews; it has been described as ‘vibrant and evocative’, ‘thrilling’, ‘dazzling’ and filled with ‘intelligent and beautiful prose’.
Danielle lives in County Cork, Ireland, with her husband and three young children. She is currently penning a new collection of short stories as well as a novel.
